Cech retired with 202 Premier League clean sheets — a record that still stands. Mostly with Chelsea, then one season at Arsenal. He also holds the record for most PL appearances by a goalkeeper at 443.

Both won 5 Premier League titles with Manchester United. Schmeichel from 1993–1999, Van der Sar from 2007–2011. No other goalkeeper has matched that tally in the Premier League era.

Van der Sar went 1,311 minutes without conceding during the 2008–09 season — nearly 15 full matches. That’s 14 Premier League games plus chunks of others. An absolutely absurd record.

8. Which club has used the most goalkeepers in a single Premier League season?
In their only Premier League season (1993–94), Swindon used 5 different goalkeepers — injuries, red cards, and chaos. They were relegated with only 5 wins and 100 goals conceded. A rough year between the sticks.

9. Who was the first goalkeeper to be named Premier League Player of the Season?
Shockingly, no goalkeeper has ever been named overall Premier League Player of the Season since the award began. It has always gone to outfield players — a stat that shows just how underappreciated keepers are at the highest level.
